About the Artist

Brad Wilson is an American fine art photographer based in Santa Fe, New Mexico who trained and worked in New York City for more than a decade. He views photography as magical art form, one that combines the raw materials of light and time. He is fascinated by that fraction of a second or slight change in illumination that separates a compelling image from an average one. Understanding this subtle difference and all its far-ranging implications for artistic expression is what drew him to the medium.
Brad has always been interested in that precision which creates and reveals beauty–the exact instant when mood, lighting and composition align to transform the common into the uncommon, the expected into the unexpected. In many ways, his entire career as a photographer has been about finding and capturing those few elusive moments.
Brad’s photographs have been widely published around the world, appearing in articles and advertisements by Microsoft, Apple, Sony, CNN, CBS News, World Wildlife Fund, Greenpeace, and Audubon–among others. His classical portraits of animals are in numerous private and museum collections, and have been exhibited in a variety of solo and group shows in Europe, Asia, and the United States. He is currently represented by galleries in England, France and the United States.
His first book, Wild Life, was released by Prestel in October 2017. His latest book, The Other World, with Italian publisher Damiani, was released in November 2021.
